I hate these New Years. 

All this ‘new year new me’ bullshit. 

And this 2022 has just been the worst. 

What with the virus and the isolation and the more than ample time for people to be religious and introspective. And then, there's Mummy GO issuing everyone a visa to hell.

Rubbish. 

First it was the Singer. The Love Of My Life (LOML)!

After going to all her shows and smiling through endless hours of music I didn’t care for; all the time I spent cultivating the relationship, and now she tells me that this New Year, if we can’t be more than shag buddies, she was going to give herself a chance at a happiness with permanence.

Without me.

Nonsense.

And then there was the high flier who was made Partner in her firm, and took me on an all expense celebratory debauchery to London. Even if all that time was in quarantine, there is nothing we didn’t do. And there is nowhere we didn’t do it. Come Jan 1, she now says she’s found Jesus.

And to think I wanted to stop her from going to that damn Cross Over service…

Then there’s that young filly. FireBaby! Pepperless!! Òmòmibambam!!!

Even now as I think about her and all the things she did to me that December 31st night and January 1 morning, I shiver. She now says her and her guy are getting married and she wants to continue the year on a clean slate.

Bullshit.

Let’s not even talk about my Oyinbo who says she now wants to focus on her husband and children.

And the two that I recently lost to Canada.

And now, it is looking like I have to spend the next 3 months cultivating yet another set of relationships and rebuilding my harem.

This is getting tiring.

If care is not taken, I just might cave in and get married.
